Volunteers Needed: McGhoulrick Halloween!

Halloween is coming to McGolrick Park, and this year's McGhoulrick Halloween — now in its fourth year — needs a village of volunteers to pull it off.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 31, from 12–3 pm. The afternoon is packed with activities for kids and families: a dance party with The Dance Space, spooky story time courtesy of Brooklyn Public Library, crafts with ARTUDIO, games with Maison Jar, tarot readings with Mack Huneke, plus appearances from Last Place on Earth and Broken Bones Skate Club. The day wraps with the event's signature children's Halloween parade.

None of it happens without volunteers, though — and that's where the community comes in. Organizers are looking for help with:

• Decorating the park before the event

• Tearing down decorations afterward

• Handing out candy to trick-or-treaters

• Staffing an activity table

Even an hour of your time makes a difference. If you can lend a hand, fill out the volunteer form here, and get more event details on the McGhoulrick Halloween event page.

Costumes encouraged. Mischief welcome.
