Ready for early reading skills?

Come & discover the joy & critical importance of phonics in this fun-filled mixed age taster class.

Friends for Phonics is an exciting new program put together by former Early Years specialist and literacy coordinator, Alexandra Beviss. From September, sheโ€™ll be hosting weekly sessions in McCarren Park enabling children aged 1 - 4.5 to discover phonics and develop early language skills.

Sheโ€™s hosting a pop up class on August 26th at McCarren Park to give parents and kids a chance to try it out and see what phonics is all about!

Why care about phonics?

Phonics form the foundation of language & literacy and mastering them early helps build early skills and confidence, leading to a strong foundation and love for reading. These fun lessons can make all the difference!
