2026 marks five years since Under the K first opened to the public — a once inaccessible space beneath the Kosciuszko Bridge that now welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors through culture, recreation, and stewardship.  

As we look toward the future, the North Brooklyn Parks Alliance (NBK Parks) is building on the last five years by securing and launching long-term partnerships and investments in the essential infrastructure necessary to sustain public spaces.

Great public spaces don't happen by accident. They are imagined, built, cared for and sustained by people willing to invest in them.
